Montgomery County food safety inspections: May 12, 2023

Here are the violations reported in food safety inspection reports from Montgomery County conducted the week of April 23-29, 2023.

Each week, we highlight the inspection reports for retail food and drink establishments under the jurisdiction of the Montgomery County Office of Public Health. All establishments are inspected once per year, and inspectors may return several more times if the initial inspection is not passed or complaints are received. As noted by the MCOPH, the reports are merely a "snapshot" in time, and "may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment." Many of the violations are corrected on the spot prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.

Follow up inspection conducted. At time of follow up inspection ehs observed a new dumpster style grease disposal container within the dumpster enclosure. This ensures facility has adequate equipment to dispose of restaurant grease. Existing grease barrels were still on site and filled at time of inspection. Facility manager stated that barrels should be removed with the next 7 business days. Facility in compliance at time of inspection.

Follow-up inspection conducted to ensure facility has properly cleaned and sanitized all areas with rodent-like droppings and/or activity. Upon arrival EHS observed very minimal rodent-like droppings in room at side receiving door and in room where food prep sink in located. Facility cleaned and sanitized areas at time of inspection. Facility must continue to receive weekly pest control and must provide a pest control work order to MCOPH following pest services that will be conducted on or after 4/24/2023.
